Process :This layout took a total of 8 hours :P. I really loved it the moment I saw it (the image) since it was really pretty! The image itself took about 3 hours to cut out because of all the strands of hair _ It took much longer than I had expected. However, after I did it everything else went well. I first applied a white background behind, and using the watery type of shape I cut out the image. However, it looked really akward, so I added the flower on the side, and repeated the side with white and purple. On the side with Jeanne, I used some other artbook images in the background. The whole thing was a bit plain, so using random swirls from fonts and some brushes as well as erasing/adding effects I made the background. It was sort of complicated and now that I think about it right now I can’t really remember exactly what I did… But it was a bit hard :D However, since I wanted some more manga-colored images, I cut out the daisies from the original image and pasted them around, the layout looked really nice with flow. The flower on the side extended to form the side menu, and just using random purple I opacified the bottom half. Solid purple text area on the side looked really bad so I used the ellipse cropping tool to cut out particular areas, and added a white section for links extending from the wand. The wand had no effects on it, so using a circle and adding outer glow behind it, I made the yellow glow in the middle of her wand. Basically that was about it…
Description :This layout was made for Maron in her layout contest. It looked really challenging to me so I entered it :D I won third place :P.
