Welcome

You have reached the fanlisting and small shrine for the Mario Kart Series, perhaps one of the best racing series of all time. This fanlisting was originally owned by Crystal who was kind enough to adopt it out to me

Mario Kart: Series

The Mario Kart Series is one of a kind. Here is some basic information about it!

The Franchise and Games
The Mario Kart franchise was started in 1992 with the release of Super Mario Kart for the SNES. This 2-player game was a huge success, and with the new gen console: the N64, the second installment of the Mario Kart series: Mario Kart 64 was launched in 1996. Mario Kart, continuing to be a huge success, had a huge line of successors, including Mario Kart Super Circuit (2001) on the GBA, Mario Kart: Double Dash (2003) on the GC, Mario Kart Arcade GP (2005) in the arcade, Mario Kart DS (2005) for the DS, and Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 (2007) for the arcade. The newest title for the Mario Kart series: Mario Kart Wii will be released in 2008 for the Nintendo Wii. We look forward to the newest game!

Characters
There are many playable characters in the Mario Kart games, with more and more being added each time. So far, the playable characters up to date include: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Bowser, Toad, Donkey Kong, Wario, Koopa Troopa, Donkey Kong Jr., Daisy, Birdo, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Toadette, Paratroopa, Diddy Kong, Bowser Jr., Waluigi, Petey Piranha, King Boo, Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Blinky, Dry Bones, R.O.B., Shy Guy, Mametchi, and Boo.

Items
Perhaps the best part of the Mario Kart series, setting it apart from all other game series, is the use of items throughout the races. Each game has a different range of items such as: Green and Red Shells, Lightning bolts, Bullet Bill, Piranha, Bo-bombs, 'shrooms, mega 'shrooms, Yoshi's eggs, and much much more! You can use these items your fellow racers (aka. enemies fufu) and get ahead of them. I must admit this is the best part of the game.
